Spanish / Latin / Classical Guitarist

Multi-Emmy Award winning and multi-Grammy nominated guitar virtuoso Russ Hewitt has been a professional musician for over 30 years. With a large list of recurring Corporate clients (General Mills, Enterprise, Caterpillar, Tiffany & Co., Coca Cola, etc.) and strong word-of-mouth, Russ is always in high demand.

As a voting member in both the Grammy and Latin Grammy awards and invited attendee, Russ Hewitt is highly regarded in the music world and continues to collaborate and work alongside Grammy artists and musicians worldwide.

His compositions in film and webisodes have won him many awards and has had six Top 40 radio singles. Russ has played on stages worldwide from a solo act up to a eight piece band. This includes performing and recording with Symphonies, Orchestras and Philharmonics, including the London Symphony Orchestra at the famed Abbey Road Studios in London with his original music.

Spanish / Latin Guitar

Russ is best known for his Spanish/Latin style guitar. Whether he’s opening for Josh Groban at the Robert Mondavi Winery in Napa, playing to 10,000 people at a charity event for Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, gala for Trammell S. Crow, or a private event for two, his music is listener friendly and accessible. From sweeping ballads to mid and uptempo songs, any setlist can be customized to what the occasion requires.

Russ can play Solo/Duo/Trio/Full Band along with the following instruments in any configuration: Violin, Percussion, Rhythm guitar, Drums, Bass, Hand drums, Dumbek, Cajon, Djembe, or any instrument you can think of.

Classical Guitar

Russ holds a degree in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of North Texas, having learned all of the classics and the more well known, popular repertoire. Perfect for setting a mood in any setting, classical guitar always adds something to an event.

With decades of experience, Russ has played weddings from coast to coast. Working with the bride and groom closely on the processional and recessional music, extra time and care is dedicated to getting everything just right. Arrangements can also be made of popular songs, movie soundtracks, Beatles songs, or anything you can think of. These can be done solo or along with the recording.

String Quartet

Whether you want a Classical duo, trio, quartet or more, Russ can put together a group. Any combination of violin, viola, or cello works wonderfully with the nylon string guitar.

Traditional classical can be played, or any pop song can be arranged using this instrumentation.

Dancers / Vocalists

Russ has performed live with Tango Dancers, Salsa Dancers and Flamenco Dancers. His music video entitled ‘Tango Ahn (Ballroom Remix)’, which can be found on YouTube, features Hugo Patyn and Celina Rotundo from Buenos Aires Argentina, renowned teachers and choreographers of Argentine tango. His music repertoire can accompany any one of those styles and could work out a custom song of your choice.

Russ also can perform with any singer during the ceremony or live performance. Russ also can perform with Spanish singer Orlando Salinas. The song list includes music by Luis Miguel, Alejandro Sanz, Ricky Martin, along with classics both old and modern.
